Playa del Carmen was my first destination on my solo travels in Latin America. I chose Playa (as the locals call it) because it’s a digital nomad hub, it has a beautiful beach and there was an animal shelter that I wanted to volunteer at.
My mission as I travel is to volunteer with rescue animals in each country that I visit. Playa Animal Rescue was my choice for Mexico.
