This website contains information and tools that you can browse and access without providing any personal details.  Where you voluntarily provide personal details I will only use that information for the purpose for which it was intended and to communicate with you.

Requesting a freebie or joining our email list

When you request to receive a freebie and/or join our mailing list we collect your name and email address in order to be able to send your freebie to you and future emails.

 

Purchasing 1:1 services or free consults

When you purchase a 1:1 service from us, or book in for a free consult, we collect your name, email address, business name and personal data about your business. We need this data to provide these services to you.

 

Comments on blog posts

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy . After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.  

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

 We may need to share your data with the parties set out below:

We use Aweber for our marketing automation platform. By joining our mailing list you acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to Aweber for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy

Joining our mailing list is optional. If you have signed up to our mailing list and would like to unsubscribe, simply email us at andrea@andrea-jordan.com with “Unsubscribe” in the subject area, and you will be removed immediately. Alternatively, all emails sent via Aweber also have an unsubscribe link in the footer.

 

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. 

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. 

Otherwise we’ll retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

 

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
