Wat Bupparam
I had cycled past Wat Bupparam before and it was the many animal statutes in the garden that had caught my eye and made me want to visit.

Chedi Luang
I discovered another favourite temple by accident. I was cycling along the back streets and saw tourists walking up a side street. Curiosity got the better of me so I followed along to see what they were up to. At the end of the street was the stunning Chedi Luang; the largest temple in Chiang Mai.
It was fantastic and very different to the other temples I’d seen. It reminded me of pictures I’d seen of Aztec temples.

The bamboo scaffolding is making the monks a little nervous
The structure had been damaged in an earthquake earlier this year. I do hope they can find some way to repair it.
