A moment of happy coincidence to report – after writing yesterday about why I quit my “good” job I came across this blog post by Steve Pavlina, one of the most successful personal development bloggers on the Internet, called “10 reasons you should never get a job!”
It seems that I should never have got a job in the first place!
I love the way he writes – honest and blunt to the point of brutality. My favourite quote from the article:
Realize that you earn income by providing value — not time – so find a way to provide your best value to others, and charge a fair price for it.
This quote sums up my work philosophy. After years of swapping my time for money I’m now focused on providing value and lots of it!
