My Balinese adventure continues…

I’ve began to explore more here in Ubud. The rice fields are a 15 minute walk from where I am so I took my camera on an adventure.

The scenery is beautiful and there is so much to see. Big and small. I was distracted by the beauty of the butterflies that I saw. While caught up trying to capture a photo I got quite close to this guy!

I found a fantastic pool that I had all to myself for an afternoon. It was such a treat on a hot Sunday afternoon to sit here and read a book.

I’ve joined up to a co-working space for when I need faster internet. It’s a lovely space to work in and wonderful to be surrounded by people doing intriguing things.

I tried Qi Gong for the first time. It reminded me of the Tai Chi that I did many years ago. I’ll definitely be giving it another go next week because even though the movements seem simple they take quite a lot of practice to get right.

My daily yoga has continued with Gentle Flow most mornings at 7.30am with a couple of Yin and Hatha yoga classes too. I also took part in a pilates class; complete with 80’s music and a large lizard joining us from the ceiling where he slipped.

I’ve been astonished about the variety of food offered here in Ubud. I knew that it would be good but I didn’t expect the sheer variety. From traditional Indonesian food to organic and raw cafes, there is so much to try. I had the most AMAZING raw chocolate. I think it’s the best chocolate I’ve ever tasted (and that is saying a lot).
